THIS BOOK WAS INSANE.

Yayoi works the night shift of a lunch packaging plant with her coworkers Masako, Yoshie and Kuniko. Her husband is very abusive. One night she snaps and ends up taking his life. The rest of the women help her get rid of the body.

You may think you know where this story is headed but I promise you will have no idea! My friend Marissa and I went on a mini reddit rabbit hole and I almost never do that but needed to know the why! This book has me by the throat and I have thought of nothing else since finishing.

I do have some critiques, there were a few plot points that went nowhere and some plot holes. Additionally some things that may be due to being lost within the translation. Overall, I think this was an incredible book that I will be thinking about for a very long time.

While I do recommend this book, it has heavy trigger warnings so make sure to go into this with caution. The following is the graphic on page TW but there are others as well so check them if you need!
